NICEIC Inspection & Testing for Domestic Electrical Installations

A 2 day course designed to provide delegates with the necessary skills that are required to inspect, test and establish results for certification of domestic electrical installations.

Contractors applying for registration with a Domestic Installer Self-Certification Scheme may benefit from this course.

Candidates should hold a City & Guilds 2381 qualification or equivalent and be competent in the installation of domestic electrical installations in accordance with BS7671.

The course fee includes comprehensive course notes, refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Course Content

• Legislation affecting inspection and testing.
• Selecting and using appropriate test equipment.
• Instrument accuracy.
• Testing procedures as required by BS7671.
• Practical demonstrations with ‘hands-on’ sessions for both ‘dead’ and ‘live’ testing.
• Verification and certification.
