Course Content

The growing pressure upon company managers to ensure personnel are operating in a safe manner suggests that some level of basic training is required. This course is clearly focused on raising the level of electrical safety awareness specifically for machine and process operators within a company or organisation.

Using a presentation and practical approach to learning, students become aware of key aspects of electrical safety within the workplace specific to the task of entering an electrical panel enclosure and performing protective device resetting, as well as the responsibilities placed upon them through current legislation.

• Health and safety legislation (related to electricity in the workplace).
• Risks present when entering an electrical enclosure or panel.
• Safe working practices specific to panel entry.
• Resetting of electrical motor thermal overloads and miniature circuit breakers.
• The risks to the machines or process related issues.
