A 3 day, City & Guilds Accredited, course aimed creating awareness of electrical systems to both newcomers to the electrical trade and to mechanical craftspersons wishing to prepare for cross trade working.

The course contains theory and practical sessions covering essential foundation level principles that form the baseline for any involvement with electrical systems.

Delivery of the course includes both in-course and final assessment sections which will assist delegates in planning follow-up training requirements and provide measureable progress.

The course fee includes comprehensive course notes, refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Course Content

Day One

• What is electricity?
• Electrical units and their relationships.
• Component identification.
• Use and care of test instruments.

Day Two

• Conventional circuits.
• Electrical drawing.
• Electrical power theory, AC supplies, Inductors, Capacitors etc.

Day Three

• Circuits used for control.
• Safe isolation.
• Safe working practices.
