Electrical Isolation of LV Power Systems - City & Guilds Accredited

This course is intended for electrical and non-electrical personnel with some experience of electrical Systems who require authorisation to undertake electrical isolation for maintenance purposes.

Completion of the course will enable personnel to undertake electrical isolation of low voltage systems & equipment for purposes of electrical or mechanical maintenance. Course Includes formal permit to work procedures operating on-site.

• Associated procedures, basic risk assessment and documentation prior to Isolation
• Types of isolating devices
• Methods of isolation
• Proving or verifying an Isolation
• Controlling Isolation
• Removing an isolation and returning a system to normal operation
