Course Cost

A 4 day course including detailed practical demonstrations in preparation for both the practical assessment and written examination. The course is aimed at personnel who are involved in the Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installation to BS7671 (17th Edition Wiring Regulations) and require certification possibly for NICEIC purposes or to demonstrate competence as a 'Duty Holder' with responsibility for the safety of electrical installations within their organisation.
The full 2391 qualification is achieved following successful completion of both a written examination (closed book) of 2 1/2 hours duration 6.30 - 9.00pm and a practical assessment. This is approximately 3 to 4 hours in duration and is arranged for a mutually agreeable time outside of the 4 day course timetable.
Delegates must possess relevant practical experience and a good working knowledge of BS7671.
The course fee includes City & Guilds examination fees, administration costs for the assessments, lunch, refreshments and comprehensive course notes.
The written assesment is carried out on a seperate date as organised by City & Guilds.
Course Content
- The purpose and frequency of Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations.
- The main inspection requirements prescribed in BS7671 (Guidance Note 3).
- Sequence and actual tests to be carried out in premises as prescribed in BS7671 (Guidnace Note 3). Proving test instruments.
- Completion, periodic and minor works forms with associated schedules and results.
